Interest in my offerings has gone way down. There are now so many letter options out there to choose from, including the actual Elf on the Shelf organizers offering personalization. It's not worth it to keep checking my form for replies anymore. Therefore, 2025 will be the final year I offer personalization. Letters will still be available here for you to print and fill in yourself. You are also welcome to copy my text into your own documents as long as you don't try to sell them. Thank you for making this a fun hobby for the last few years and helping me spread the word of God, North Pole style.
No more elves will be featured on these letters as this website is unofficial unless they are generic, unlicensed clipart. Your finished letter will come without an elf.
You can personalize your elf letters from me. You'll get one or more of my letters sent to you with the following inclusions (no more writing in names and having them wonder why the handwriting looks so familiar!):
-kids' names
-choice of text color
-elf names
-a brief sentiment of your own, if you would like (I will find a place to work it in)
Due to some graphical reasons, some arrival/goodbye letters come in a bundle and you will automatically get both if it's before mid December. I've let you know which those are.
Please only pick the letters you need. If you are personalizing a letter, please only choose ONE arrival and/or goodbye letter when filling out the form. Do not pick multiple options of each (unless one letter is part of a bundle and the other isn't).
Customize a letter here! Or, first, scroll below to read the letters to get a glimpse of what they say. Fill out the form and wait for up to 48 hours for it to be sent to you.
Welcome Letters from the Elf
If the elf is new to your house, pick one of these.
Hi there! My name is the Elf, reporting from the North Pole! I’m going to be spending Christmas with you and
your family this season.
Have you ever wondered how Santa is able to
watch over all those kids? He sends scout elves, like me, to their houses to
see if you are being naughty or nice. Every night, I’ll fly back to the North Pole to report to
Santa on your behavior. Every morning, I will be back in a fresh new location!
You’ll just have to find me.
There are only a few rules. First, you can’t touch me, or I will lose my magic. I also cannot talk to you, but you can talk
to me. I am a very good listener. Second, remember
to be good! At this time of year, we’re celebrating the birth of Jesus, which means
that we should be trying hard to be good and kind to others. This means being
helpful, not complaining, and using nice words. Sometimes, I might even bring a
good deed challenge with me, and you should try your very best to complete it
by the end of the day.
I’m so excited to be spending this special birthday with you, learn
about Jesus’ love, and spread a little
holiday cheer!
Merry Christmas!
Hello, ! My name is the
Elf and I come from Santa at the North Pole. Have you ever wondered how Santa
can watch all those kids? He sends scout elves like me to their homes to help
keep an eye on them. Each day, I will be hiding in a new place. But you’ll have to find me first!
But you seem like a good kid already, so I have
a secret to tell you: there is no
naughty and nice list. It doesn’t exist!
You know how Jesus died to save us from our
sins? We didn’t really do
anything to deserve that. But He loves us so much that we are forgiven! Santa
works the same way. Sometimes you and I do naughty things, but Santa brings
gifts anyway because he loves us! Isn’t that great? But its still important to do the right thing so
we can honor Jesus.
Here’s how it works. I will be in a new location in your house each day.
You can’t touch me, or else I will lose my magic and
can’t fly to the North Pole to report to Santa. I
will not be able to talk to you, but I’m a good listener! Sometimes I may even bring a kindness challenge
for you to complete. That way you can learn about Jesus’ message of doing good for others. That is what
Christmas is all about!
I can’t wait to spend Christmas with you and learn about God’s grace. Merry Christmas! Love,
1C (with red border):
Greetings from the North Pole! This is the Elf reporting for duty and ready to spend
the holidays with you and your family.
Have you ever wondered how Santa is able to
keep an eye on all those kids? He sends scout elves to help him, which is my
job! Every day, I will be hiding in a new location to see if you are being
naughty or nice. Just look around to find me! You won’t be able to talk to me, but I can hear you, and remember not to touch me. Otherwise I can’t fly back to the North Pole every night and
report to Santa.
Do you know why we celebrate Christmas? It’s because we love Jesus, who
died to save us from our sins. Christmas is Jesus’ birthday, and Santa helps us to spread good cheer in honor of
that. We like to reward kids who are like Jesus with presents, but please
remember that giving is more important than getting. There is no better way to
celebrate Christmas and the sacrifice that Jesus made by being kind to one
another.
That is why I’ll be watching you this season to see if you are being good like
Jesus, or if you’re being naughty.
Sometimes I struggle with being good, too. Maybe if you see me getting into
trouble, we can learn to be good together.
I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you!
If the elf is returning to your house...

I’m so excited for another year of fun and games with you! And,
wow, I can’t get over how
tall you are! I must seem very small to you!
But you’ve been good, so I have a secret to tell you: there is no
naughty and nice list. It doesn’t exist!
You know how Jesus died to save us from our
sins? We didn’t really do
anything to deserve that. But God loves us so much that we are forgiven. Santa
works the same way. Sometimes you and I do naughty things, but he will still
come and bring presents because he loves you. Isn’t that a great thing? But it’s still important to be good so we can honor Jesus. It’s the right thing to do.
This year, I’ll still be back every day in a new place. You still can’t touch me, and I still can’t talk to you. I will report to
Santa, because he hopes you will still be good for Jesus and he wants to know
how you’re doing! But I’ll still be here to help you
spread Christmas spirit, and if you see me doing something naughty, you can
remind me to be good. I can’t wait to learn about God’s grace with you!
Be sure not to tell anyone else about the
naughty and nice list. Some kids still need help with their behavior, and that’s okay. Let’s just keep it a secret!
Merry Christmas!
Maybe you haven't heard of the no naughty/nice list idea yet but are thinking, hey, that sounds like a pretty good deal! If you want to transition into that version, use this letter. This letter may have some trim to snip off but it shouldn't affect anything.

I’m back for the season to spend time
with you.
I missed you a lot. My, how you grew!
As a reminder, just the rules of the
game:
you cannot touch me;
that much is the same
I can still hear you, and talking to me
is good,
but we elves will be still as we always
should.
I’ll be hiding in a different place each day
so that I can surprise you and learn to
be good along the way.
I’ll do this to report to Santa each night,
so remember to obey your parents
without a fight.
Remember you should be good to honor Jesus Christ,
for he loves you whether you are
naughty or nice.
Merry Christmas

3A--goodbye and arrival letter bundle with snowflake border
You have been SO good this year! Enjoy all these gifts! Wow,
they look awesome!
We hope you enjoy the presents, but take some time to thank
Jesus for his ultimate gift, too. We prayed extra hard that you would come to
appreciate Jesus even more this year. Gifts are worldly treasures, and they’re fun, but being with Jesus in
heaven is forever. It’s a Christmas miracle! I liked how you worked hard to do good
like Jesus this Christmas. Keep it up all year long!
But I always hate to leave you on Christmas Eve. So this year, I will be celebrating with you! I can’t wait to watch you open your gifts and love one another. And
when the morning is over, you can put me into this jar so you can carry me
around and have me come to all your festivities. Remember not to touch me, as
you normally wouldn’t. At the end of the day, I’ll fly back to the North Pole and celebrate with Santa and my
other elf friends tomorrow.
If I don’t get to say goodbye to you, please know that I have enjoyed
another wonderful year being in your family. I am already counting the days
until I return next year, and I can’t wait. Have a wonderful New Year and I’ll miss you.
Lots of love,
And...
Ho ho ho and a great big hello! I am so happy to be back! I
missed you so very much! I can’t
believe it is Christmas already. Time flies when you have a busy year.
Just as a reminder, here are some ground
rules:
1. I will be back in a new hiding place each day. Can you find me?
2. I can’t wait to have
fun, but the reason I’m here is to
help Santa decide if you are naughty or nice.
3. Don’t touch me! Otherwise, I will lose my magic and can’t fly back to the North Pole
every night.
4. Always remember to be good and kind, no matter what.
This year, we thought that we could try something new.
Sometimes, I will bring a Jesus Challenge with me. If you want me to keep
coming back, you should complete the challenge by the end of the day. Christmas
is all about loving our neighbor, and that is exactly what God and Jesus want
us to do. I can’t think of a
better way to celebrate the holiday season!
Let’s have a great
big birthday party for Jesus!
This one actually comes in a bundle with its matching goodbye letter, so you'll get both, need them or not. This pattern may appear tiled when printed but looks equally acceptable. This one also hints to Jesus Challenge Cards that you can print here.
3B
This one comes in a bundle, so you will get the corresponding goodbye letter with it whether you use it or not.
Goodbye Letters
(These look a little wonky because I had personalized them and had to get rid of some of the text. Sorry.)
These goodbye letters come in a bundle and you'll get both---use one or both of them. I think they are my favorites. Note the second letter hints at a return visit for the elf on Christmas Day.
The first letter will come in blue text and the second in red unless you specify otherwise. I disabled color choices on the form since some color options wouldn't make sense with certain designs.
3A
This one actually comes in a bundle with its arrival letter, so you'll get both need them or not. Note that it hints that the elf has been to your house before. This pattern may appear tiled when printed but looks fine.
3B
This one will come in a bundle with the arrival letter of the same name whether you use them both or not.
